1. Information we collect
Maya is built to collect as little as possible. We store your child's first name (or nickname), their learning progress (XP, streaks, words learned), and basic device information needed to run the app. We do not collect your child's location, contacts, or photos.
2. How we use information
We use this information only to run the app: to save progress, show streaks and rewards, and let a parent view progress through a private parent link. We never sell data, and we never use it for advertising.
3. Children's privacy
Maya is designed for young children and is built to be COPPA- and GDPR-K-conscious. There are no ads, no chat with strangers, and no social features. A parent or guardian sets the app up and controls the account.
4. The parent link
Each child has a private parent link (e.g. maya.training/progress/MAYA-XXXXXX). Anyone with the link can view that child's progress, so keep it private. You can rotate the link at any time from the app settings.
5. Data security & retention
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We keep learning data only while the account is active; you can request deletion at any time and we will remove it within 30 days.
